Nottens Bush Camp

"We were the first group booked in at Nottens in 1986 and we have visited 2 - 3 times a year ever since, which brings us up to at least 50 visits to date. We have had some amazing celebrations here. Need I say more - we love it!"

"Hello All:
We have just returned once again from a really incredible 3 niter and just had the best viewing... Lions... 4 lions on a kill together with 7 cubs... Female leopard... Male leopard on a anteater kill... Elephant, rhino, buffalo, in fact we were seeing the BIG 5 on a daily basis thanks to Joe our ranger.
But over and above this there is far more to Notten's than just the Big 5... The accommodation is great, the rooms lovely and well furnished with beautiful linen. The outside shower was put to good use even though it was winter, and how wonderful to just sit on the verandah and enjoy the sounds emanating from all over the place.
I honestly don’t think there is a better way to come back to camp in the evening, arriving from the waterhole in the front of the camp to look up and see this beautiful camp lit up with candles and lamps (No Electricity). One has to travel far to better this.
Then there is the hospitality: it’s a home from home. We always feel so comfortable and at ease as there is nothing that’s too much trouble for anyone. Everyone is out to please whilst not being overbearing, as we find in a lot of the camps we visit.
The meals were great and so well presented.
Can we come back please!"
Best Regards

"Since before I was a teenager when I first set my soft white city feet on Sabi Sands soil, I am privileged to say I have seen Notten's grow from a few simple white huts into what is has become today.
As a long time friend, guest, wedding guest and even once a member of staff for a few months, I have very fond memories & a deep longing to return at least once a year if possible to spend some more great times in a very special piece of heaven on earth.
Each visit takes away the thoughts that constantly occupy your mind and set you in a peaceful state of mind, during and long after your stay.
What makes the place special is each to their own but for me, the friendly family, staff, animals, the awesome setting in amongst the trees with the cool afternoon breeze, good laughter, great food and a great safari experience.
We look forward to our next visit."

“The joy about South Africa is that you can enjoy so many varied holidays while exploring the country. There is no doubt that one of the greatest holidays in our lovely country is enjoying the outdoors by having a bush holiday.
In the early 90’s we were introduced to Notten’s Bush Camp and we have become addicts of the hospitality that the Notten’s family offer. We go to Notten’s primarily to relax and be pampered by enjoying the game drives, good food and the friendly ambience created by Bambi, Gilly, David, Sue, Dale and Nicky then of course we must not forget the role that the extended family of Joe, Tenicka, Gift and Henry play in making your stay at Notten’s extra special.
When we think about the bush we think firstly about Notten’s and that is why we continue going back and what’s more we send at least two sets of friends/colleagues to Notten’seach year.
Our next visit cannot come round soon enough."
